Carroll County Circuit Clerk - Dual Courthouse System

Carroll County uses two courthouse locations. The Eastern District courthouse is in Berryville, and the Western District courthouse is in Eureka Springs. The Carroll County Circuit Clerk maintains records at both sites and handles circuit court cases filed in each district. When you need a court record, you must first determine which district handled the case. Cases are filed in the district where the event occurred or where the parties reside.

Both offices are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. For in-person visits, bring the case number or party names. Plain copies are $0.25 to $0.50 per page. Certified copies cost $5.00 per document plus the per-page copy fee. For mail requests, send a written request with case details and payment by check or money order payable to the Carroll County Circuit Clerk at the appropriate courthouse address.

Carroll County was established in 1833, making it one of the older counties in Arkansas. The dual-seat system reflects the county's geographic spread across the Ozarks region. The Circuit Clerk is an elected position and also handles real estate recording for the county, so deeds and mortgages filed in Carroll County go through this same office at the relevant courthouse location.

Note: Carroll County's dual courthouse system means court records from Berryville and Eureka Springs are separate, so identify the correct district before making your request.
